Nissan Cube at Heroes Booth in San Diego Comic Con

Nissan in partnership with NBC's Heroes gave Heroes inspired Nissan Cube to 4 lucky attendees of the 40th Annual Comic Conference held at San Diego.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (July 27, 2009) ― Nissan partnered with NBC’s Heroes television show at the 40th annual Comic-Con Convention, to host a series of activities, sweepstakes and giveaways inspired by the all-new 2009 Nissan cube®. Tens of thousands of technology-savvy comic book and automotive fans had the opportunity to experience the dramatic Nissan cube® which was featured inside an incredible, life-size Heroes-branded toy package, similar to how miniature die-cast toy cars are packaged, at NBC’s Heroes booth.

Within the massive Heroes branded exhibit convention-goers were able to experience the asymmetrical cube®’s spacious lounge-like interior and interact with available cube® features such as the Interface System for iPod®, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System and an interior accent lighting package with 20 different easily adjustable shades. Clips from Heroes featuring the Nissan cube® were broadcasted on a massive plasma screen – demonstrating that boxes don’t always have to be square.

“Our partnership with NBC’s Heroes at Comic-Con this year provided a perfect opportunity to show off the all-new 2009 Nissan cube both on and off the screen,” said Christian Meunier, vice president, Nissan Marketing. “We were able to interact with thousands of attendees at the show, many of whom were just the people that would consider the Nissan cube as their next ‘mobile device.’”

Additional activities at the convention included comic book giveaways and an opportunity to win one of four Nissan cubes®. By simply swiping their entry badges, attendees had a chance to win a distinct and individually designed cube® by artist Peter Steigerwald to represent the style of Heroes.

Nissan and Heroes also gave away 15,000 specially created collector’s edition comics featuring the cube® and the Television series with four unique graphic covers. The artistic covers were initially introduced in April during the “Nissan Mobile Device Giveaway Sweepstakes,” in which contestants entered to win a cube® by identifying “Where in the U.S. is the Nissan cube®?” from looking at the same collector’s edition graphic cover art that will be distributed at Comic-Con. Each day at the convention, one of the covers was handed out to a fan and then invited back for the chance to collect all four in the series.

Nissan Street Teams in Heroes-inspired cubes® were also seen driving around in downtown San Diego all weekend to create buzz and excitement around the Comic-Con activities.

Glimpse of Heroes Season 4

Here's a glimpse of next Season of Heroes taken at the Comic Con 2009. Thanks to @LeaDaisy81 for the copy. Though the quality is not that good. But hey, this is the first we have.

Claire: We see her at the Orientation of her new school. We see her with her new roomate Gretchen, the dark angsty morbid one. She seems kinda cool actually. Claire at one point is on a bus and then later on we see her with a laser sight aimed at her heart while on the bus. At one point she's with Noah claiming that she 'just wants to be Claire Bennet, Noah Bennet's daughter.' We also see Claire jump out of a window and land splat on a chalk outline while her roommate looks on.

Noah: Not too much with him but it's all badass awesomeness. We see him in a car with water rushing in as he's freaking out getting out. We see him with Claire as referenced above. We see him on some steps with a rather large stabbing gash in his side and Peter Petrelli himself coming to his aid. Later on in they're in what appears to be a hospital and Noah asks 'What did you do?!' and we see a compass spinning out of control in Peter's hand which makes Peter go 'I'm not doing anything!'

Peter: With Noah and then he rips off a cardoor with his supa-strength (Ty much Dr. Suresh) and it appears to be the woman playing his new love interest.

Ando: Apparently macking on Kimiko Nakamura


Hiro: We see him linked to the Carnival. See Carnival.

Tracy: She talks about feeling herself shatter and then when she came back how she wanted to 'kill everyone who hurt her'. She's also seen spending some time with Noah and previous spoilers have her as a member of this new Company so that fits.

The Carnival: Here we have Robert Knepper's character of Samuel and the first time we see him he's leading a funeral. There are a bunch of carnival folks around him including Ray Park's character as well as the tattoo lady Lydia. He's speaking about their seeming fallen comrade Joseph. Everyone looks real shady and specifically at Samuel himself. Pretty much think that he was responsible for Joseph's death. More Carnival stuff included a look at Lydia's power which is pretty sweet. She went into a trance and Samuel was by her face, he asked her questions about what she was seeing and she described that a man named Hiro Nakamura was at this carnival before 14 years ago. And a tattoo of Hiro appears suddenly on her back. We then see Samuel with Hiro being all creepy in classic T-Bag style (for you Prison Break Knepper fans) telling him his name is Samuel and they're going to be 'really close friends' We also see Hiro with himself at 14 so yep time-travel is back peeps. We also see the knife dude as played by Ray Park who I'm pretty sure is the one who sliced up HRG. See, Samuel is taking about special people and that they're pretty much their brethren and that it's 'time for them to come home'. So the theory is pretty much that the Carnival is after those that harm specials. Because Noah being attacked and then *SPOILER ALERT* we see motherfuckin' Danko and he gets his head sliced up by what is likely a big ol carnival guy's knife-throwiing knife...so that was an 'OMG IT'S DANKO....WHOA HE'S DEAD I THINK!' moment. Totally unexpected to see that in the trailer at the booth.Ray Park's knife throwing guy also talks with Samuel at one point about 'Redemption' he asks if that's possible for them.

And now what I think were the best moments of the clips.

Angela: At a Chinese restaurant we see Angela dining and then Sylar, yes Sylar!Sylar, in Nathan shirt and tie as he leans in and gives Angela a kiss on the cheek. He says something about 'but that wouldn't be proper manners would it?' and then of course she wakes up all freaked out.

Nathan: We see a fucking awesome shot of Nathan sitting back in his chair when suddenly a bolt of blue lightning cracks off from one palm to the next and he FREAKS OUT.

Matt: Matt talks to Angela and says he's 'out he's done with this, he's going cold turkey.'

*drumroll*

Sylar!: With Matt, holding Matty Jr. and glaring. Matt looks terrified and Sylar makes the kid make the tk hand motion and he only says one thing 'I want....my body back' D< God I can't wait...we think he's using some form of astral projection such as in Into Asylum with Danko in the car.

The final shot is Samuel moving his hands and making the dirt fall over into the hole that their comrade is buried in.

Heroes Booth Will Be Giving Away Nissan Cube

The ODI reported that Heroes booth will give away four Nissan Cubes in one day starting Thursday. Just visit the Heroes booth in the Comic Con and have a chance to win four Nissan Cubes.

The Heroes booth (sponsored by the Nissan Cube) will giving away four Nissan Cubes (one each day, starting Thursday)! All you have to do is go to the booth, get your badge scanned and you are entered to win. An image is below and attached… come to San Diego for the panels, leave with a car!

In addition to the give-aways, Heroes will be throwing a min-carnival where fans can get a sneak peek at footage from the brand new season of Heroes coming this fall. This is all very cool. but I'm compelled to ask: does it seem like NBC is getting behind Heroes late here? Or maybe I'm just not paying close enough attention. Anyways, here are the details on the carnival:

Heroes will also host its very own carnival (sponsored by Sprint) outside the Gaslamp Hilton just across from the convention center. There will be games, food, a bungee trampoline and many more goodies! Visitors will also see exclusive footage and photos from the new season unveiled there.

Heroes at Comic Con '09 Details

By now you already know that Heroes and Tim Kring will indeed be holding a panel over at San Diego during Comic Con ‘09, it just won’t be inside the San Diego Convention Center, but at a location adjacent to it. We’ve got more details about the panel, including where it will be held, when, and who will be showing up to answer fan questions. And oh yeah, the big news is that the panel will show an exclusive Season 4 trailer cut specially for the panel.

WHAT: Comic-Con International 2009 fans will be the first to watch an exclusive trailer for “Heroes” Season 4, titled “Volume Five: Redemption,” created just for the annual event in San Diego.

WHO: Following the trailer, creator Tim Kring and cast members Jack Coleman, Masi Oka, Adrian Pasdar and Zachary Quinto, as well as guest stars Robert Knepper, Dawn Olivieri, Ray Park and Madeline Zima, will participate in a Q&A session.

WHEN: Saturday, July 25 at 3:15-4:15 PM

WHERE: Indigo Room @ Hilton San Diego Bayfront (1 Park Blvd., San Diego)

Heroes Season 4 will debut with a two-hour premiere on Monday, September 21, from 8-10 PM. Following the premiere, the show will air on Mondays at 8 PM.
